Poughkeepsie, NY on the Hudson River

We spent all of Monday stepping our mast and re-rigging it so it now looks like a sailboat again!  On Tuesday, September 9th, we motored 32 miles down the Hudson River to Poughkeepsie, NY.  In order to stay in the channel, you zig-zag down the river staying between the buoys.  The view was great and we saw three lighthouses today.  The Poughkeepsie Railroad Bridge built in 1889 was re-opened as Walkway Over the Hudson as a pedestrian walkway and the longest footbridge in the world at 2.06 miles and yes we walked up to the bridge and across some of it!
