Canajoharie, NY on the Erie Canal

We departed Ilion on Thursday, Sept 4^th and arrived in Canajoharie, NY after going through five locks and tied up to a free dock in Riverfront Park where there is room for about four boats.  A short walk into town is the Canajoharie Art Gallery with a collection of 350 paintings by Winslow Homer.  This town is where the original Beech-Nut factory was started – anyone remember Beech Nut Gum?  Check out the picture we took of the stop light at the intersection in town.
