We departed
Sylvan Beach early on Tuesday and after four locks and 7 ½ hours we arrived in
Ilion, NY where we spent two nights. This
is the home of the Remington Arms Museum.
The Remington Arms Factory started in 1816 and is still in existence
today. We had to say goodbye to our boat
buddies, Don and Kathy as they will turn around and head back west on the Erie
Canal. We will miss them! Just west of Ilion are some beautiful natural
landscapes along the Erie Canal.
