We departed Beaufort
on Friday, November 28th and stopped at Isle of Hope Marina in Savannah,
Georgia. The next day we travelled to
Kilkenny Creek anchorage near a fish camp.
Throughout Georgia we have to make our sail plan around the extreme
tides of up to 9 feet which will make some places impossible to pass near low
tide and anchorages must be selected carefully so we don’t end up sitting on
the bottom. We have some beautiful
sunrise and sunset pictures and sometimes we can’t tell the difference. Shrimpboats here are a common sight. We experienced some extreme fog when we left
but the sun quickly resolved this problem.
