ICW - Florida Finally!

On Tuesday, December 3rd we arrived in Florida at Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island!  The sun is shining and the weather is warm!  Fernandina Beach is a great, small town with plenty of shopping and restaurants.  Florida’s oldest bar is here called The Palace Saloon.  On the way here we passed Fort Clinch built in 1736 when Florida was held by Spain.  We saw an interesting house (boat?) with a red roof and an outboard engine and a wrap-around porch.  The town of Fernandina Beach has many old houses and lots of charm.  Many of our Sail Rally boaters got together in the evening at the Green Turtle for drinks, food and stories.
